Floating feeder for offshore aquaculture
Description
The SeaFeed project has been subsidized by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) through the CONECTA PEME program for 2018, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the operational program ERDF Galicia 2014-2020 within the OT1 “Promote technological development, innovation and quality research” P.O. FEDER Galicia 2014-2020.
In the consortium project FEEDING SYSTEMS, S.L., MONTAJES CANCELAS, S.L., ENGRANOR, S.L. and QUANTUM INNOVATIVE S.L. with a total budget of € 1,064,241.40 and a grant of € 613,261.28 €.
The objective of this project is to develop a feeding system for aquaculture at sea, either offshore or near the coast, automated, intelligent and autonomous, installed on an energy-efficient floating platform, which allows optimizing feeding processes and guaranteeing the technological independence of the Galician aquaculture industry from technical imports from third countries.

INFOR-MAR
Title
Technologies for the deployment of precision maritime information.
Description
The INFOR-MAR project has been subsidized by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) through the CONECTA PEME program corresponding to 2018, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) within the framework of the ERDF Galicia 2014-2020 operational program within of the thematic objective OT 1. “Promote or technological development, innovation and quality research”. The project has the support of the Ministry of Economy, Employment and Industry.
HERCULES CONTROL, S.L. participate in the consortium project. STRELIA ELECTROTECNIA S. COOP. and QUANTUM INNOVATIVE S.L. with a total budget of € 767,560.40 and a grant of € 383,780.20€.
The objective of this project is to develop a low-cost, high-precision sensor network that allows the application of advanced mathematics to disrupt the business model of ocean-meteorological prediction. As a result, a set of hardware (highly competitive buoys) and software to generate a maritime data monitoring tool.

Sea Mining Skid

Title
Development and manufacturing of a ROV operated ion detection system to detect underwater mineral deposits.
Description
The main objective of the research project Sea Mining Skid, consists of the design and manufacturing of a skid able to be operated by a survey ROV (Remoted operated vehicle) equipped with mineral detection tools able to work in deep seabed. The system will have an innovative ion detection equipment of minerals, as well as a specific software to control and collect the data sent from de skid. This Skid will also be equipped with various devices for preparing and extracting samples from the seabed. As well as diverse systems for location and geo-positioning that will allow determining the exact location of the mineral deposits.
Result
The Sea Mining Skid project as a whole has been executed according to schedule, ending in December 2018. Thanks to the work of the consortium, and the capabilities put in common, including the possibility of having an ROV fully equipped with survey tools that complement the Ionic Mineral Detector in a mineral prospecting scenario in a submerged environment, it has been possible to carry out an integration of a complete system. Sea trials have demonstrated the capacity and operability of the SMS skid prototype, mounted on a working ROV with the payload of auxiliary elements necessary for said surveys, giving the system excellent potential.

Title
Design and development of a Smart-Hydro system based on micro and pico hydro turbines.
Description
The Project SmartHydro is proposed as an innovative solution for the reduction of external energy dependence, which can be adapted to different types of environments, modifying only the main generation system. SmartHydro proposes to use small streams that are currently unviable for large-scale hydropower production. This project aims to offer the market an efficient solution to make the most of this resource that is currently not done. The prototypes performed in this work will demonstrate the feasibility of using small currents in different types of environments. This project will be developed inside wastewater treatment plant, and includes the development of a smart system for the management of the obtained energy.
